> After we gathered up at the Travertijn 6 studio, we set the edible and personal-practice-related item in 2 separate tables.

> Starting with a short ARC-writing exercise, the participants picked a personal item of another person
and wrote a short text (some with a sketch), then pinned it to the wall.

> Next, they were asked to pick a few items from the digital ARChive, which then were printed in b'n'w and pinned to the wall,
this time with relation to the already pinned texts/sketches. Each took a picture of a specific part of the wall they saw as a 'frame' of itself.

>we had a few minute reflection on that then we started to work and play with all of the materials (the items, the printed and handwritten),
using all the tools available to us (colors, tapes, scissors, the Xrerox, and so on).

>2 thirds into the evening cooking been initiated, and by 20:00 we all set to eat discussing the activity and what it can lead to.

WHAT'S NEXT?

We would like to expend the digital ARChive, and would like each of you to Upload materials.
Once you open a MEGA account under the email address you usually receive ARC mails from, 
you should have the access to the shared folder.

For our next 'session' we would like to suggest July's ARC trip to France, to which we will bring the outcomes of this fist encounter.

How to prepare:
Towards our first PWTA encounter we would like of you a few things:

1. Choose an object/item related to your current artistic practice you are wish to share with ARC, and bring it to the encounter.
2. Upload to MEGA at least 3 files you have related to ARC from the past 2.5 years (photo, document, video, audio, ...) **
3. Bring at least 1 edible item, preferably vegan/vegeterich.

** to better prepare for the activity please uploaded  all materials until the 26.4, 
you are invited to upload materials regardless of whether you physically participate or not :)
If you encounter a technical issue with uploading to MEGA please contact us.

What else?
Scissors, tape, stapler, and some other creative materials will be supplied, however we encourage you to also bring your owns.

The ARC-hive is starting to buzzz :)

I. We would like to through a first encounter combining talking, doing, playing,
ending with a shared dinner at my (Inbal's) studio.
Two possible dates were mentioned in our last monthly meeting - 28.4 or 2.5, vote for your preferred date.*

II. Uploading files to MEGA - 
Did everyone manage to upload? Any technical difficulties? For support on the subject you can contact me.

It's been a while since we last posted on this topic.

Firstly, I wish to share with you a short visual summary of the meeting discussing the project during the ARC meeting-days on the 24.1 (see attached).

As you all know, we are in the process of collecting materials DIGITALLY (at MEGA) - in it all sorts of files can be uploaded
and PHYSICALLY (in the ARC-case*) - in it things that can not be digitalize or better experienced in real life.

Secondly, while we are 'building' our 2-fold ARChive, and in preparation for the 'Playing With The Archive' encounters (TBA)
I invite you to contemplate on these 2 questions - 

1 - What is an ARCHIVE?

2 - What can a PUBLICATION* be?

  * the ARChive is part of a wider process aiming toward a public moment in which we will make expose and publication, 
     both notions are open to discussion and to our collective interpretation, hence the question.

Here's a small post about the ARChive:

• Pol has changed the Library page to the ARChive page (here it is) - I did still not manage to change it tho! Let's talk about it in the next website meeting beginning of January.
• I've create a digital dump on MEGA, you can upload there heavier or numerous files. You might need to use a decryption key to get in. Here it is: ncqOTaHmGWLzThfquvb8qw
• I think you need to create an account to upload something, let me know if you don't want to or have a better idea!

Why is this?

Gathering. We would like to collect all kind of ARC related documents and files on our ARChive page and on the digital dump. It can be anything! Like for example drawing, picture, text, inspiration, train ticket, thought, movie, idea, left over, food, publication, recipe, book, trash or just something that you think would belong here and can be used to create something else. Next to this, we'll have a physical box that we can fill up with the same kind of content mentioned above ... but physical. We can pass it to each other for a 1st round of filling. Let's see in January.

Playing. Once we have enough material to start, let's play with it! We talked about some creative encounters, somewhere in Spring 2022, for the following.

Publishing. What will be the result, if there is any? Let's keep faithful to the not knowing and figurate out on the spot 😉

We've planned a kick off meeting in January, the date isn't fixed yet.

I've visited the ARChive page and the MEGA 'dump',  and I have few questions

ARChive (former known as Library) -
"Please add here...drawing, picture, text, inspiration, train ticket, thought, movie, idea, left over, food, publication, recipe, book, trash or just something that you think would belong here and can be used to create something else"

* How do I post there or upload a file?
* What is the difference between posting in the ARChive page instead of my own page (the page that each of us have)?
* what is the difference between uploading there and uploading in the MEGA drive?
* and how do we avoid double uploads (same materials in the two archive branches)? 

MEGA - 
Same as with physicals spaces, the Digi archive can easily become full and messy. I should know, my studio is a bit like that 🙂
I don't know MEGA system that well, or what the option of being logged-in offers,
so for the time being I suggest to figure a basic way to organize stuff.
for example - 
* FILE NAME  -
automatic file names shows the time and date the file was created
once images/files starts to accumulate from different cameras/sources, it would be helpful to have some extra/other indication for their context,
and in case we wish to keep things ambiguous, we can use an agreed 'code'.

BOX - (How does it work? what about a crate? I have one ..)

Space for working / encounters - (I am in favor of having one 🙂

Budget - thanks Kev (!) for the rough estimation
